World Poker Tour
Die wöchentlich auf dem Travel Channel veranstaltete World-Poker-Tour ist eine außerordentlich populäre Pokershow - viele werden sie für die absolut Beste halten. Mit in jeder Episode dargebotenen zwei vollen Stunden an intensivem Poker und großartigen Kommentaren ist die WPT zur Lieblingssendung für Spieler und Zuschauer auf der ganzen Welt geworden. Als die erste wöchentliche Poker TV-Show der USA hat die WPT damit Geschichte gemacht, da es das erste TV Programm wurde, das den Zuschauern die Blätter der Spieler mit den WTP-Cams zeigte - mittels kleiner Kameras, die auf den Tischen angebracht sind. Jede Episode zeigt die Finalrunde eines Turniers.
Die WPT wurde von Lyle Berman und Steve Lipscomb mit dem Ziel entwickelt, „Poker als einen bedeutenden ins Fernsehen gebrachten Mainstream-Sport zu etablieren, indem man Spitzenpoker-Turniere der ganzen Welt überträgt".
